When using the remote desktop you may find that your default printer has (Redirected: X) on the end, this is shows when the printer is going through your machine and not direct. This can cause issues with speed, quality and other odd problems. 


To fix this, all you need to do is untick a box in the remote desktop client before connecting. 


1: Open your remote connection


2: Click on show options

3: Go to the "Local Resources" tab

4: Untick Printers then connect to save the changes
